Matthew Chapman
Matt Chapman is a visual artist living in Toronto, Canada, who specializes in a variety of mediums of art. Reoccurring themes in his work are shipwrecks, disasters, murder mysteries and Victorian/Edwardian architecture, influenced by the artistic styles by the likes Tim Burton, Edward Gorey, JC Leyendecker and Charles Adams as well as literary influences as Agatha Christie and Roald Dahl. He's participated in several exhibitions including the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition 2009 and his first solo exhibition for the Titanic's 100th Anniversary. Clue has been a favourite subject of his since the age of six after receiving the 1996 edition for Christmas (intended for his sister). Since then, he's been fascinated by the colourful and devious suspects who wander the corridors of Tudor Close, with a weapon of choice in hand. He is honoured to create the sketches of the suspects for Elias Kaspar's fanfiction to help visualize the story for readers. Matt's favourite character is Miss Scarlet who is a bit of a diva, like him.
